Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus on Bengal players

I'm listening to Bengals Gameplan podcast w/Lapham and some other cat. They are interviewing Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus...

Talking about Andrew Whitworth, they say he is the best at his position even after laying an egg vs the Seahawks (he mentioned that it appears Whit suffered a small injury that probably explained it, as he was wearing a walking boot afterward).

However, Lap noted that the guy was high on Dunlap as well. The man was almost effusive in his praise of Dunlap. He mentioned that he might be the highest rated even though he isn't eligible to be voted for the Pro Bowl since he isn't the starter and that means he isn't on the voting list. (He could be written in, obviously). What grabbed my attention was the discussion of quarterback pressures. Monson mentioned that Dwight Freeney, the monster of the qb nightmares, in his best season averaged one quarterback pressure for every six plays. Dunlap, he says, is getting one pressure every FIVE attempts at rushing the passer.

He like Leon as well, even though he is having an off year. That 74 yarder is really skewing his stats.

Dalton is good. Green is "one of those guys with special ability".
