I will be ready this week I promise bengals nation

-Adam "Pacman" Jones Twitter @REALPACMAN24

After a very long wait Bengals corner Adam Jones has made a promise to be healthy an ready to play this weekend. He made a cameo appearance 2 games ago during the Bengals win versus the Seahawks where he ran back a 63 yard punt return, but pulling a muscle during the play. Jones hadn't played in a game since October 26th, 2010 and was put on PUP for the first part of the 2011 NFL season because of the neck injury.

Jones seems to understand the significance of Pittsburgh week. Hopefully after sitting during a game that was looking like a win Jones will be well rested for this week. The Bengals definitely need more out of their nickle corner, and with Jones healthy he should be able to add more security in the pass defense.

On a personal note, two thoughts came to mind when reading this tweet. The first being a long the lines of  how frustrating it is, that it's now to the point that Jones is having to personally guarantee his health, rather then guarantee a win or a high level of performance like many players would have. And the other being, if Jones misses any more games this season would the Bengals even be interested in re-signing the injury prone corner? He's talented yes, but is he worth the roster spot when he's rarely healthy.

Too hard to call right now in this writer's opinion. That's a problem for another day. All I care is it's Pittsburgh week and the Bengals are 6-2.
