Veterans Of Cincinnati: Morgan Trent Worked Out For the Indianapolis Colts
Former Bengals cornerback Morgan Trent can thank Bengals running back Cedric Benson.
After serving his one-game suspension, the Cincinnati Bengals reinstated Benson onto the 53-man roster but released Trent to make room -- who was virtually expendable once Adam Jones returned the week before.
Trent, whose 2010 season ended early after suffering a season-ending knee injury during practice, played the first six games this year, posting five tackles on defense and another on special teams.
Unless there's a spot opening up on the 53-man roster, Trent's unlikely to return to Cincinnati.
According to NFL Insider Adam Caplan, Trent has worked out twice for the winless Indianapolis Colts in the past four days, but has yet to sign a contract.
Trent spent three seasons in Cincinnati after being selected in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He posted an interception and 60 tackles, making one start and playing 30 games.

All the Colts have in terms of CBs is Powers who is falling victim to an incompetent DC
2010 3rd Rounder Kevin Thomas who is jumpy and likes to miss tackles as often as make them.
UDFA Jacob Lacey who has a lot of starting experience, but is a man specialist and has wilted in a never ending zone system, but is by far the best tackler on the team.
UDFA Terrence Johnson who is currently hurt, can’t cover, and can’t tackle to save his life with any kind of consistency
and finally… 2011 6th Rounder Chris Rucker who is halfway between Thomas and Johnson, but overall iffy.
Colts need zone CBs badly, but knowing Larry Coyer we’d probably go all man coverage if we had competent zone CBs. Also, CBs that aren’t 5’10 and 170 lbs. would be nice. They tend to be a little out classed facing 6’4, 230 lbs. WRs.
No man should escape our universities without knowing how little he knows.
Any man whose errors take ten years to correct is quite a man.

Hope he gets a contract
He always seems to play hard (and somewhat decent for a backup or nickleback at least
