Yes you can......
Be a fan of a team that lost....
Be a fan and not go to a game...
Be a fan and never buy a ticket...
Be a fan and never buy a jersey...
Be a fan even with your team losing 4/5 games...
Be a fan of a rookie offense...
Be a fan of a injury riddled team...
Be a fan when no one is looking...
Be a Bengals fan no matter what you do as long as you bleed Orange and black...
Be a believer even when there are haters...
Don't hate on those who can't make it to the stadium, don't hate those who are not buying tickets... Hate the man who has made it unbearable to watch our team live, hate the system that says if your a fan of your local team and are within a 75 mile radius of the stadium that you have no rights to watch your team unless you buy a ticket, hate the system that thinks if you don't go to a game your not a fan. That is what bothers me, the system that we support and cherish the system that provides us with NFL games is telling average Joe that he is not a true fan by blacking us out and telling us we don't support our team because we don't buy tickets... Well F U, I bleed black and orange, I sweat Bengals orange on the edge of my seat crossing my fingers for a TD, I sat at Lambeau Field two years ago wearing my orange and black as they beat the pack, I watched every game in '05 when they swept the division, I watch the draft they picked Carson Palmer, I watched as Cory Dillon was traded, I watched Kitna as the starter... I am a fan and no system is gonna take my fan-dom away...
You can say it's the economy you can say it's the prices you can say it's the losing you can say it's the coaching, players or owners. But in the end a true fan deserves to watch his home team and they deserve the choice if they want to sit at home and watch the game with family in the comfort of their own domain or screaming their heads off and losing their voices in the crowd. Not a network president who could care one less about our team, or a contract that the NFL owners signed with the tv networks .... This is our team and until Mikey boy realizes that without us he will continue not filling the seats... He will continue to lose in my book ... Hopefully not my Bengals but he himself, his legacy is worth about as much as the toilet paper I just wiped my bum with.

My vote is
if I was in the area and could afford it. Couldn’t give a rats ass about the rest of it. I would be going to support my TEAM not Mike Brown

I have a tradition
I can only go to two games… But this year I’m expecting a Lil one and have to save every penny I can. I agree goIng to the games shows support but IMO no-one can tell me I’m not a fan cause I’m not going to games. I hate the blackouts and really that was a big part of the rant.

Wasn't meant to imply you aren't a fan if you don't go to the game
especially when money is the issue. But I was just stating that none of that other stuff would keep me away from supporting my team by going to the game “if I was in the area and could afford it”.

What I look forward to is the day when the Brown family no longer has controlling interest in the team. It WILL happen. I just hope there’s a team in Cincinnati by then.
Good post!
Your right about not being able to watch the home team if the game doesn’t sell out. Thats the worst, but at the same time, the NFL is a BUSINESS. And its all the money. If it wasn’t, then we would call it high school football.
AMAS
Did'n't vote cause my option wasn't there...
I live in Cali, but I’d go if I was in town!!!
I represent the Bengals of Cincinnati with extreme passion and prejudice and make no apologies for it!
I live in Kansas
and I probably wouldn’t go if they were close. It’s just too expensive. I have a lot more fun in a bar watching the game on a big screen tv. Admittedly I’ve only been to 1 NFL game and that was at Arrowhead in 2000. It was an interesting game, the one where the Rams came in 8-0 and got DESTROYED by the Chiefs. Faulk was throwing up on the field, Warner broke his finger near the end of the first half. The Chiefs fans were loving it. It was an experience, but not worth the ~$100 per person minimum that Bengals games cost.
