With the big game against the Arizona Cardinals this weekend, you can talk about your strange Bengals gameday traditions and superstitions--you all know that you have some. I always wind up taking a sip of my drink right before a big 3rd down play at the sports bar…. can’t say why…

It’s 3 – 1 Bengals

Steve Wyche, who leads the NFL Network in silk and smooth, likes Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton in the clutch. Don Banks of Sports Illustrated sees the Bengals defense stopping what he calls "Skeltonmania." Kent Somers, who has been covering the Cardinals from Buddy (Ryan) to Larry (Fitzgerald) for The Arizona Republic, sees them playing on the road for the first time in a month and goes with the home team.

Darren Urban, the information man for AZCardinals.com, thinks the defense is going to stay hot and picks Arizona. The Cards haven’t allowed more than 23 points since Oct. 30.

Clothes Superstition

The day before the games, I always wear my Munoz jersey. Game day, I always where my Green Jersey, with another bengals shirt under it. I always where a bengals hat, along with black shoes and socks. The weird part, I always wear these same black boxers on game day, just how I roll, all black on game day.

I thought my GF was bad luck for a while...

The first time she watched a Bengals game with me was the collapse against the Raiders in 2009. She redeemed herself though when we actually went together to the Ravens game last year and they won.

One strange superstition I have. I play Madden, I always use my team. Using them after Friday is a huge no-no. Once I used them on game day…that’s even worse (Super Bowl 45)

Also, I eat the same “pre-game meal” (was a chicken bacon ranch from Subway, till they lost to the Ravens, then it was an Asiago Chicken from Wendy’s, till they lost to the 9ers)
