Bengals Will Cut Season Ticket Prices In 2012

Despite heading into a Week 17 game in which the Bengals can secure a playoff spot with a win, they have only sold one home game out, the team's Week 10 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Other than that game, they have been blacked out every week at home. Fortunately, when they take the field on Sunday against the Ravens, they'll be on TV because they were able to sell out, thanks largely to a buy one get one free ticket promotion.

Many believe that the Bengals haven't sold tickets because of Mike Brown and others believe that prices are too high in today's economy. Since Mike Brown isn't going anywhere any time soon, the Bengals have decided to do something about their prices.

It was announced Thursday that they will not only not raise season ticket prices, but ticket prices will drop in certain sections for the 2012 season.

On the heels of the lowest attendance for a season at Paul Brown Stadium, the Bengals announced that not only will there be no increase in season ticket prices, there will be price reductions in many sections, by as much as 33 percent. Where the cheapest ticket was $60 last year, it will be $40 next season.

This is an example of the Bengals responding to their fans in order to sell out their games. With lowered ticket prices and the buzz created from an exciting season and exciting young players like Andy Dalton and A.J. Green, the Bengals may sell their games out like they did in '05, '06 and '07 next season.

So here's your question: Will you buy tickets next season after hearing this news?
