I am absolutely tired of people talking about how bad we are now and who needs fired. To me this just proves how little those stupid individuals know about football! People calling out Marvin and Zimmer, saying they are not prepared or do not adjust well is just ridiculous. I guess the reason why this bothers me so much is because the week before the same people are saying how well prepared and how great we adjusted when we needed to. Fair weather fans please take my advice and find another team! You are not wanted here! We want to start a dynasty and need the right fans to do so.
Does anyone remember Pittsburgh getting blown out the first week by Baltimore? I can guarantee people did not panic and the reason why is because they know it is just one week and their fans trust in their team to rebound. And to quote a great coach that unfortunately coaches for a team not to be named says, “One game does not make or break a season.” I completely agree with this statement. Yes, we lost, not a big deal, we are 7-5 and in a great place to make the playoffs.
The last thing to remember is this team is very young and injury plagued. They got crushed today but keep in mind this is the first game of the ENTIRE SEASON that has not come down to the wire. One other thing to remember is that this is the same team that was picked to finish winless this season. As fans we should be stoked and show our support! Not cry about things that are just ridiculous!
I completely agree with minor adjustments though, such as giving Hawkins a shot at returning duties. Tate has done better than Cosby has just due to explosiveness but I feel punishment needs to be given when mistakes are made. Right after Tate fumbled, which turned out to be the finishing blow, would have been a perfect time for a benching. I honestly do not believe Tate is the future but he is adequate, for now, but mistakes are unacceptable. We all know now how important special teams are because they were a big part of the loss today.
All I can say is, lets bounce back for next week and support our team!
