Time for everyone to relax, the seasons far from over

I cannot believe some of the negativity that I'm hearing from Bengals fans after one game. Yes we got our a$$ kicked but it happens, the Steelers got crushed by Ravens this year, the Cowboys got crushed by the Eagles (who pretty much suck), even looking back to last year the Patriots got crushed by the Browns. Sometimes good teams have off weeks and one game does not define a season. In every other game we've played we've been right there to the end (yes even against the so called good teams), a play here or a play there, or a call here or a call there and we probably come out on top in a few of them games. As of right now, we are in the playoffs. We have a tie breaker against Tennesee, Oakland has a pretty tough schedule (Greenbay and Detroit who is fighting for a playoff spot), Jets are not that great of a team and even though there schedule appears to be the easiest, that can be deceiving because Miami is playing much better and always plays the Jets tough, the Giants and Eagles are both Jekyll and hyde teams who can look awful one week but then come back and look awesome the next week. We have 3 of our next four @ home and the only away game is the Rams, which is a good thing because they are not very good. Houston has it's 3rd string QB starting and best WR nursing a hamstring injury, the Cardinals have to travel here from the west coast for an early game which is tough for anyone not named the 49ers. We've aways matched up well against Baltimore and we have them @ home this time, which I believe will make a Major difference in the game.

Don't get me wrong we still need to address a few issues and here's a few that I believe we are capable of addressing or will be fixed in the very near future.

1. Releive Brandom Tate of his duties (this should be priority #1)

2. Get back to being somewhat healthy (We need Andy, Carlos and Nate to come back and I think they all can and will be ready relatively soon). Andy it's a given why we need him back, Carlos can make an immediate impact in improving the pass rush, and Nate needs to come back to be a compliment to Pacman (like Leon Hall was JJoe), I think the biggest positive thing I saw out of an absolutely dread-full game this week was the play of Pacman, each week he seems to continue to rise his level of play and that is going to huge going into a playoff run.

3. We need better and more consistent O-line play and safety play. Not sure at this point, we can do much more at the safety position (other than maybe work in Taylor Mays some more for Crocker). As for the O-line, I think playing at home will help. They seem to be the group that has the biggest issues playing on the road, it started in Seattle and continued in Tennesee and Baltimore. I think they still struggle with communication on the road and playing 3 our 4 at home will help in there overall performance down the stretch.

I was one of the few that predicted 11-5 before the season started and one sucky loss is not going to make me change my mind, I still think we go 11--5, WHO - DEY!!!!
