The Jets have the easiest remaining schedule of the 4 remaining teams fighting for the final #6 AFC playoff spot. They are behind the Bengals bc they only have 5 AFC wins while the Bengals have 6. Both teams have 2 remaining AFC games left. If the jets go 3 – 1 and win both remaining AFC games,KC at home and @ Miami, the Bengals will need to go 3 – 1 and beat both Houston and Baltimore. This will give the Bengals more wins in the AFC than the Jets. If the Bengals go 3 – 1 and tie the Jets with AFC wins, it will go to minimum 4 common games with the Jets. As of now in common games (Bills, Ravens, Jags) the Jets are done at 3 – 2 and the bengals are 2 – 2 with the Ravens remaining. Even if the Bengals lose to the Texans and win against the Ravens and the Jets win both games and both teams go 3 - 1, it then goes to strength of victory (record of all the teams they defeated that season). The Jets are 4 games ahead of the Bengals in this category. The Bengals have the Titans in the bag and the Raiders are only going to win 2 of their next 4, if that(they have Palmer)......... neither should not be much of a concern. If the Bengals win and the Jets lose this week, the Bengals are sitting pretty. This is highly unlikely but man it would be awesome ps - the Jets have to play at Michael Vick and the Eagles and the Giants at home, I am guessing they lose one of these 2.
