T.J. Houshmandzadeh Doesn't Believe Bratkowski Firing Changes Carson Palmer's Demand For A Trade
When T.J. Houshmandzadeh has an opinion, the wide receiver is going to go give it to you whether you want it or not. After Bob Bratkowski's dismissal from the team after ten seasons, Houshmandzadeh gave his opinion that he "made his mark" under the former Bengals offensive coordinator.
Additionally Houshmandzadeh doesn't believe that Bratkowski's dismissal will change anything in terms of Palmer's demand to be traded from the Bengals.
“Just knowing how quiet Carson is and how he never, ever says anything, it shows you how serious it is,” Houshmandzadeh said. “I mean, he’ll sit there and always take the blame no matter what it is. And for him to go and do that, it makes me think it’s a lot bigger than the offense. No, I don’t see him changing, but that’s me.”
We have to agree with T.J. on this. While Bratkowski called plays that scratched many heads, we believe that Palmer is coming from a position much deeper on how the organization is run as a whole. There's a serious sense that this franchise do not take football seriously.

I've said it before and I'm sticking with it...
I think this has everything to do with the wife. She’s been harassed in public and was very upset when the fans booed Palmer for passing 20k yards. The trash on the lawn was probably too much for her to handle.
What husband would keep his wife in a situation she doesn’t feel safe in?
agreed
I have always seen him as a family man first. It is hard to be that when you are in the NFL, especially for an organization that sucks all the fun out of football like the Bengals. I’m actually hoping MB sells this team to LA and that we have a new owner interested in Cincinnati in the next few years. With a proper owner, this small market could support a NFL team.
"I gotta show em' how to eat right man, that's all...I got all five food groups. Pancakes, sausage-egg McMuffin, cinnamon roll, large orange juice... I just be juiced all day."
Naive
Cincinnati WILL NOT get another franchise if it lets the Bengals pull shop to Los Angeles. I would bet a year’s salary on it. So, if you want NFL football in Cincinnati you better hope things change within the current organization and not bank on a new franchise to set things right.
The Chargers will relocate to Los Angeles; so, our bet would end in a draw. I doubt the NFL wants to further dilute the California market – no less, place a Mike Brown run organization in a market that has previously struggled to support two NFL teams long term in the not-so-distant-past.
