Trade for Tebow?

Wishful thinking? I know right. With Carson Palmer's trade demands, the Bengals are in the "looking for a new QB club" these days. Most of us Bengal fans are assuming that Cincinnati wont go the QB route with the number four overall pick. So that leaves us with the possibilities of signing a veteran free agent, making a trade, or promoting from within. There are not to many "good" free agent quarterbacks to be looking at, and promoting from within just does not seem logical, so that leaves us with possible trades to get a new starter in stripes. I have heard conflicting reports that Denver does not want to have Tebow as the franchise guy and could just go with Orton once again as the starter for the 2011 season.

Most members of the pre-Elway regime in Denver are "looking to distance themselves from" the decision to draft Tebow last season. Lombardi calls quarterback "a huge need" and suggests game-manager Kyle Orton could remain the starter for another season. It's hard to believe the new regime has already turned the page on Tebow after his promising play in three late-season starts, but Lombardi is a trustworthy source. Tebow can no longer be considered a no-brainer as the future in Denver, much less the 2011 starter.

This gets us to the questions of what would it take to get Tebow in stripes? Would a straight up trade of Palmer for Tebow be fair for both sides? Would Cincinnati have to throw in picks? Would Denver have to throw in picks? Can we trade Palmer elsewhere for picks and use those towards a Tebow trade? Would we even want Tebow? There are all kinds of possibilities but I just wanted to throw this out there. I personally would like to have Tebow over here with the new offensive coordinator that promises to run the ball more and use the short to intermediate passing game, in which I think he could excel in. Now to your comments, what do you think? Is this a possibility? Would you be in favor of a deal to bring Tebow to Cincy? He could really influence this locker room in a positive way, and one thing we know for sure is that he is a great team mate and he gives 150% every play. I vote yes.
