Within the last 28 days, the bengals organization have stated that changes would be made. Mike Brown and Marvin Lewis never claimed what type of changes they were implicating. Us bengals fans assume that Bob Bratkowski would be fired and that maybe Marvin would get his demands. But when we saw Marvins contract extension press conference, we perceived it to be a joke. Changes didnt seem to be made and most of us thought that changes were not going to be made. Then suddenly reports surfaced of Carson Palmer demanded to be traded or he would retire. Mike Brown refused to trade Carson to any team. Then the most anticipated and wishful outcome arisen. The desperate plea for a new offensive coordinator was demanded. Hate letters to Mike Brown and Bob Bratkowski were forwarded. Some bengal fans threatened to boycott the team. Through its up and down seasons since 2005. Bob Bratkowski had then been fired. Bengals were very estatic with the change. But the problem is, who is our next OC? Is this the only change the bengals will be making? What are we going to do with Carson? When do we draft a QB? And my last question is will we see changes? For starters, lets examine what had been happening from now till the last 48 hours. Reports have said that Jay Gruden is the next bengals OC. Reports have also said that the bengals doctor has stepped down. Also sources say that Mike Brown asks Hamilton County for more money. The question for this source report is why. The rumor is that Mike Brown plans to put a roof over Paul Brown stadium. Making the new look and changed Bengals organization an Arena Football look. Hmmmm. Interesting. Because Jay Gruden is an arena football player and coach. Who runs a west coast offense with a power run game. Gruden coached his arena football team to average 30.7 pts a game. Gruden who was also a pretty good QB in arena football. With him being a good offensive mind with good football knowledge and being a QB. Whoever is under center as starting QB in the 2011 season would benefit from Gruden. So I guess the question still remains if the bengals have made any changes. The jury is still out. But right now, they seem to be pointed in the right direction if all two reports and one rumor are true. If Jay Gruden is the offensive coordinator than players like Odell Thurman and Brooks Bollinger could come into play for Cincinnatti, relatively for cheap. Our drafting could be different sense a new offensive mind would want certain type of players in the draft that would fit his style of offense. I definately think O line will be addressed in this years draft. Especially if there going back to a power run game. But who knows, only time will tell. I for one like what im hearing about whats going on with the bengals and what I hear about Jay Gruden. What do you all think?
