The Bengals could find themselves in a decent need for a linebacker next season. Dhani Jones and Brandon Johnson are free agents. The linebacker roster rounds up with Roddrick Muckelroy, Dan Skuta and Vincent Rey behind starters Rey Maualuga and Keith Rivers. A need for another outside linebacker, plus a premiere pass rusher, it's no surprise that the Bengals could have interest in a player that could fill both rolls.
Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer was one of 11 representatives during Texas A&M's Pro Day when outside linebacker Von Miller ran a 4.49 40-yard dash, according to Bengals.com Geoff Hobson. Miller recorded 28 quarterback sacks in his final two seasons with the Aggies.
Miller wasn't the only defensive player being showcased at Texas A&M's Pro Day. Defensive lineman Lucas Patterson and linebacker Matt Leatherston also participated during the workout.
Other Aggies showcasing themselves in front of NFL scouts and coaches include offensive lineman Matt Allen and quarterback Jerrod Johnson.
