The NFL Labor Situation in One Question - Are You with Brownie?

Bengals Führer Mike Brown is a member of the NFL labor committee and was one of the owners present at labor negotiations before they broke down.

As reported, the basic problem seems to be the following dialogue:

Owners: We are losing money.  We need financial concessions from you, our employees.

Players: Prove it.

Owners: Here is some data.

Players: We need more data.

Owners: No you don't.  Trust us.

Now imagine that Mike Brown is speaking for the owners, and he's the guy saying, "Trust me."  Would you trust him or would you want more disclosure so that you can make an informed decision?  If you think Mike Brown is honest and fair, then perhaps the owners are right, but if you think he isn't, then maybe the players have a point.

Are you with Brownie?
