HERE ARE MY FIRST 4 PICKS FOR THE CINCINNATI BENGALS.
1. CB. PATRICK PETERSON
The guy can play corner or safety. With us possibly losing Joseph needing a star safety, Peterson could fill both spots as needed. We could move him to safety right away and thus eliminating the need to waste a 2nd to 4th round pick and let Adam Jones and Leon take the starting corner spots with Ghee as a nickel.
2. QB. JAKE LOCKER
We get our future franchise with Locker slipping to the 2nd round. Remember last year he was a sure fire 1st overall pick if he'd enter the draft, or at least he was the #1 consensus QB. He had a so-so last year in college but I believe the potential is there. I also believe he will be available to us in the 2nd.
3. WR. JONATHAN BALDWIN.
Jonathan Baldwin is one of the premier receivers in this draft. The thing is that he's had somewhat of a quiet offseason and has off the field concerns which is why I think he'll slip to late 2nd or hopefully early 3rd. Chad is leaving, TO ain't coming back, and that leaves our WR corps depleated. Jonathan and Jerome can be our #1 and #2 for years to come.
4. G. DANNY WATKINS.
We get a much needed starting guard to protect whoever is behind center. He's dynamic and the kind of guard Paul Alexander likes. Once again, he might not be there that late but if he is, I'd pull the trigger in no time.
That's my ideal first 4 picks. Now if we trade Palmer and get say a 2nd, then we'd be in prime position to snatch up a D linemen in the 2nd, or go for Bowers in the 1st and a safety in the 2nd. Cheers.
