Alright, I, like most of you, have been reading all the draft crap out there, and I'm constantly seeing the Bengals mocked as taking Green, Ponder and then a running back in the third. Does anyone else see this as the stupidest thing imaginable?? The past few years this team has had Carson, Chad, and Benson and where has it gotten them? Do we really think that adding Green, Ponder and a RB is going to help? What this team hasn't had is an o-line worth a shit. Do we need a QB? YES. A RB? YES. A WR? Probably. But to spend all our first 3 picks on skill players is insane!! Exactly how is a rookie QB going to fair behind our line? What holes is this new running back going to find that Benson couldn't? How many balls is the best receiver in the draft going to catch when our QB has zero time to let him get out of his breaks?? I'm not advocating that we shouldn't address these positions and I'm even warming to the idea of Green in Bengals stripes, but not to address the O-line in the 2nd and 3rd is simply setting this team up for failure, not just next year, but for years to come.
