Luke Stocker, TE, Tennessee

This guy appears to be one of those guys who at least could have gone earlier, in fact very likely should have.  He's purely a value pick, nothing more, sticking to the BPA model that the Saints proclaim (and actually live up to... most of the time, at least).  He's one of the better available TEs in the draft, and there's really no way he should still be available at the bottom of the third.  So if he actually was still here on draft day, the Saints would likely snap him up, despite already having two good TEs on the roster.  The Saints use a fair number of 2TE-FB-RB formations for such a pass-driven team, and they love to pass out of that formation just to mess with everybody's head.  And while they do have two other TEs on the roster, one is essentially a journeyman blocking-only TE and the other is a taxi squad tag-along without a season of credit (or even one catch) to his name.  Since their top TE on the roster (who is also a potential UFA depending on the new CBA) is also the only FB currently on the roster, that leaves room for grabbing this guy if they really love him.
