Bengals To Conduct Private Workout With TCU Quarterback Andy Dalton This Friday

Stay connected for news and updates

Reported earlier on Wednesday by PFT, the Cincinnati Bengals will conduct a private workout with Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder in Dallas, Texas on Friday. According to the PFT's Mike Florio, that won't be the only quarterback that they're holding a private workout for. In a follow up from Wednesday's posting, the Bengals will also hold a private work out with TCU quarterback Andy Dalton this Friday.

As we pointed out earlier Wednesday evening, the Bengals are not the only team interested in Dalton. But there is a high level of interest coming from Paul Brown stadium. The Bengals have already hosted Dalton for a visit in Cincinnati and the coaching staff left TCU's Pro Day so impressed that Sports Illustrated's Peter King wrote:

One quarterback coach I know told me: "It's getting very hard for [Cincinnati offensive coordinator] Jay Gruden to hide how much he loves Andy Dalton."

Of the quarterback prospects expected to go in the first two rounds, the only one that the Bengals have shown little to no interest with is Nevada's Colin Kaepernick.
