Clint Boling, OG, Georgia

With the offensive tackle position well-secured very early in this draft with Anthony Constanzo, the Pats were able to make great moves and pick up some quality players because of their massive number of draft picks this year. You don’t have to follow the trend during the draft like other teams with a measly pick per round. While other teams were scrambling, the fearsome hooded one was calculating. I disregarded what Bilichick is going to do this year with some trades that will blow everyone’s mind. You don’t have to be a Pat’s fan to realize he’s a mastermind when it comes to the draft.

With their sixth pick, the Patriots will swoop in and grab one of the best guards that isn’t the flashy pick like Pouncey, but he’s a solid TEAM player.  Clint Boling is what every coach wants to have in their lineup

This Georgia Bulldog has what it takes to play for the Patriots.  He’s a smart kid with a big list of honors and accomplishments.  He was SEC All-Team in 2010.  He started for 47 games in his collage career, at three different positions.  This toughness, versatility, and durability is something Bilichick really likes in his players.

Clint plays tough and to the whistle.  He’s technically sound and smart enough to play whatever position you ask him.  He can pull and works well in open space, seeking good angles on defensive players trying to make the play.

He’s going to have to work out this off season and develop an NFL frame, and he’s going to need to work on his run game, but his heart is there and he will work hard for whoever is lucky to draft him.  I see him as a solid guard by the middle to end of the season, but if he has to go in, he won’t disappoint his team or coach.
