Ah The Beautiful Internet
This is something I noticed about Mike Brown's recent drafts and selections. Another member of the Cincy Jungle community reminded me of this on a story about who really made the Andy Dalton pick (sorry about forgetting your username).
In 09, Mike Brown took offensive tackle Andre Smith from Alabama. That year the Bengals were in desperate need of a protector for Carson's blind side and most mock drafts all over the internet had the bengals taking him. Then in '10, we take Gresham, another consensus pick in most mock drafts. To be honest I think Mike Brown was really his usual clueless self during those drafts, but the fact that Dalton won over Mallet with support from the coaching staff shows us that maybe Brown is starting to open his ears to other opinions. Because ya know, to Mike Brown, his word is law. I was scared like hell when I saw Adam Schefter's tweet but thank goodness Brown took some good advice.
If this team plays well in a few years, which is not a stretch with all the key pieces they have in place, Brown maybe may have no major need soon. So when that happens, we'll really see if Mike Brown uses the internet to make his draft picks.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Cincy Jungle's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Cincy Jungle's writers or editors.

First round, we take the guy mocked to us.
We’ve done good in the second and third however, Dalton this year was just a must-have. I hate Moch but won’t knock the fact that it’s clear MB has turned the draft over to his coaches.
You HATE Moch?
LOL. That is a bit strong. Probably the best true pass rusher on the board at that point. We can line him up at OLB or DE, and he should be a beast on ST’s.
I don't think Mike Brown knows what the internet is
I just think he has no draft strategy and is completely transparent about who he is taking, making it easy to project our pick.
It's also easier to predict draft picks.....
When a team is chosing in the top 10 most years. Much easier to mock those picks, then those at the bottom of the 1st round. Somewhere the Bengals rarely get to draft from.
lets hope MB doesnt use the internet...
lest he see the awful things we say about him here on CJ :D
OH Yeah! Duffman's pelvis is thrusting in the direction of the problem!
TO: "Coach said he would address that."
