Will Nike Change the Bengals Uniforms Next April?

Stay connected for news and updates

Nike has a uniform contract with the NFL that kicks in next April and the company's president, Charlie Denson, told CNBC's Darren Rovell that there are going to be some uniform changes before the 2012 season.

"We're going to be aggressive," Denson said. "Some teams are willing to go further than others."

Does that mean that Nike will change the Bengals uniforms in April? We don't know, but we have seen the prototype NFL uniforms created by Nike Pro Combat for different teams, including their ideas for what the Bengals could be wearing.

If you're an Ohio State Buckeye's fan, you may have seen Nike's version of their uniforms in the final regular season game of the year in 2010, when they hosted the Michigan Wolverines, when they wore these.

Even though there will likely be some changes made to the Bengals uniforms, Nike won't have complete control over what teams wear. The changes could be extremely small, but they could also be extreme if the Bengals allow that to happen.

Is it time for a change?

Update: Turns out the picture that was posted on top of this article was a fake.
