Andre Smith Didn't Participate During Andrew Whitworth's Offensive Linemen Workout In Louisiana
According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Bengals offensive lineman Andre Smith didn't participate during Andrew Whitworth's offensive lineman workout a couple weeks ago in Louisiana. Smith suffered a season-ending foot fracture of the fifth metatarsal during a practice on November 10, placed on Injured Reserve three days later.
Smith earned the starting right tackle spot (and we don't mean as part of the team's jumbo formation with Roland at tight end) against the Atlanta Falcons and started the following two games against the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers. It was his position. Then injury crippled that chance and his future seems increasingly in doubt.
As of this posting, Smith is still rehabilitating last year's injury and we assume he won't be able to participate during this week's players-only workout that Andrew Whitworth and Domata Peko have organized. Considering a history to recover from injury at his slow pace, it could take some time before Smith is back on the field working out. We just hope he's finding some way to stay in shape during the NFL lockout.
Dennis Roland, Andrew Gardner and Jason Shirley also didn't attend Whitworth's workouts.

Given how injury prone
he is while doing team training, he’s smart to stay away from these casual workouts. Seriously.
+1
While I get the frustration that he’s shown up overweight, had two huge injuries and was slow to rehab the first (and possibly second)… I don’t really dig the hater vibe going on here.
I’m just gonna hope that Smith busts his ass to get rehabbed and in shape, then shows up and utilizes that incredible talent has has flashed.
This is the year for him to wipe the slate clean. I wish him much success.

I'll take over.
Way over. If Jamarcus Russell can show up at OL size, what would an OL with a similar work ethic show up at?
Your a little late!
Bust,he got paid
Bengals got played,Marv’s brotherly love can be blamed for that one,Mike B had nothing to do with that

370 might be too low
I’m going with 395 after a week long water diet.
Bust
Given his track record its a safe bet he’s a cheese burger shy of 400 lbs

There is no way he can work out right now
He is busy keeping Princess Leia tied up and looking on eBay for a new Rancor.

Has he ever participated in a workout?
I only recall one, and he broke his foot early in it

Recently seen in training @ Golden Corral
doing some warm-up lifts with fork from plate to mouth..repeat…and again. He progresses then to the meat table for heavier lifting and finnishes in the desert line for some finese reps to refine those abs. You know he has to feel ‘Full’—filled with this progress completing three sets a day seven days a week.
