Why the Bengals should be aggressive but weary entering Free Agency

With the new CBA in place in the next couple days, the Cincinnati Bengals will set all their focus to the free agents both on their team and on the rest of the teams. The Bengals have had some great free agent signings over the past 6 seasons but also have missed the ball completely with others (see Antonio Bryant, Matt Jones and Laveranues Coles). With a shortened preseason, the Bengals could enter the 2011-2012 season with the following mindsets.

1.) The Bengals search the FA pool for "crafty vets" to start and rotate with their own rookies.

2.) The Bengals take a very limited role in FA and use their money to sign their own veterans and focus on startings a young squad.

3.) Take the best of both worlds. The Bengals still focus on maintaining a young squad (the fisher-price kids) while still being active in FA to upgrade some of their glaring weaknesses.

What do you think the Bengals will do during this free agency madness? Who will get signed on the current Bengals roster? Who will the Bengals bring in through FA?
