We had another successful show tonight. Dave Wellman, Joe Goodberry and I were joined by The Cincinnati Enquirer Bengals beat writer Joe Reedy to discuss his thoughts on the Bengals. We asked him about what the Bengals could do to improve their franchise and dig out of the hole that placed them as the worst professional sports franchise out of the 122 teams in the NHL, NBA, MLB and NFL by ESPN the Magazine. Reedy said that he thinks the Bengals could start with their relationship with their fans.
Joe, Dave and I also rattled off our top-10 lists of the most important players currently under contract (including rookies) for the 2011 season. Two of the three of us selected Andrew Whitworth (which is what Joe Reedy also said) and the other one said that Andy Dalton is the most important guy. I'm not going to say who was who, you'll have to listen to figure that out.
We also debated Todd Portune's proposed C.L.A.S.S. Action Cincinnati plan that could find its way onto the Hamilton County ballot in September and raise both Bengals and Reds ticket prices with a new "ticket tax."
And, just to draw your attention, we talked a little about the rumor that Brett Favre could be coming out of retirement for the 14th time and what the chances are, if there is a chance at all, that he could find himself on the Bengals roster in 2011.
Make sure you tune in again next Thursday from 7:30-9:00 to check out next week's show. For now, here's this week's episode in case you missed it.
Enjoy.
