Lions DT Suh Fined $20,000 for Hit on Bengals QB Dalton

Stay connected for news and updates

On one particular play durring Friday's preseason 34-3 loss to the Detroit Lions, Ndamukong Suh burst through the offensive line and hit Andy Dalton as he released the ball.

Actually, by hit I mean attempted to murder.

That play obviously resulted in a penalty and many figured that it would also result in a fine. Even though there hasn't been an official announcement of any fine from the NFL, Suh's Tweet acts as the breaking news we've been waiting for.

As Pro Football Talk points out, this isn't Suh's first fine for vicious hits on quarterbacks.

Last year Suh was fined $7,500 for the hit on Delhomme and hten $15,000 for a hit on Jay Cutler. Now he's at $20,000. We'll see if this fine gets his attention, or if the NFL slaps Suh with a James Harrison-sized fine next.

I'm just glad that Suh can continue to practice his WWF moves against other quarterbacks for the rest of the season.
