According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Bengals cornerback Adam Jones could finally return to practice next week. Jones suffered a neck injury against the Atlanta Falcons last year that forced him to miss the rest of the season. With two procedures required, the second to make sure things are healing properly, Jones has missed a majority of work during training camp.
With Joseph leaving for the Houston Texans during free agency, the Cincinnati Bengals have a need to get Jones back on the field to strengthen the team's overall cornerback depth. With Leon Hall and Nate Clements likely the team's starters, and Morgan Trent the leading candidate to be the team's nickel, Cincinnati have little on their roster that if anyone gets hurt, it significantly lowers their talent. Korey Lindsey, one of the team's draft picks this year, could become a good cornerback but from most reports, he's still raw and needs time to develop.
