Tank Johnson Taking A Break From Football To Be With Family

As former Bengals Roy Williams is checking out new avenues for a post-playing career (as well as spending more time with his family), former Bengals defensive tackle Tank Johnson decided to sit out this season to spend with his own family.

I CHOSE not to play football this year because I wanted more time w my familY! first time being off in the fall for 10 plus years.less than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone Favorite Retweet Reply

The Bengals signed Tank Johnson in 2009 to a one-year deal, playing well enough to be awarded a four-year deal in 2010. Cincinnati released Tank on August 16 after only one season, due to make $2.25 million in 2011. Though the issue might not have been completely monetary. Behind Tank was a good-sized youth movement at defensive tackle with Domata Peko leading guys like Geno Atkins and Clinton McDonald.
