The lockout along with the shortened off season and all the crazy player movement (and in our case a player retirement) has already made 2011 one of the strangest NFL seasons I can ever remember and the regular season has not even started. I watched the Lion's throttle the Patriots tonight and eventhough it's still only the pre-season, it made me feel alot better about our first pre-season game when we got shilacked by Lions. It also got me to thinking that the Lions look like they are going to be pretty good. I'm an eternal optimist, so I also think the Bengals are going to be pretty good and way better than most people think. Hopefully the strangeness of this season can continue throughout the year and we will get to watch a rookie QB lead one of the worst franchises in the NFL to the Superbowl against perhaps the worst franchise in NFL history and then we can have have ourselves the first ever "big cat superbowl" showdown. Yes, I said it Bengals vs Lions in Superbowl XLVI, now tell me that would not be fitting for the strangeness of this season:).
