When the Bengals traded defensive tackle Clinton McDonald to the Seahawks in exchange for cornerback Kelly Jennings, the team found their third cornerback with Adam Jones on the PUP list. However, Jennings suffered a hamstring injury and has not practiced this week. According to head coach Marvin Lewis, Jennings will be a gametime decision.
"He has been working hard in the rehab part and has done a nice job mentally to know how we do things," Lewis said. "We just kind of have to see how he feels tomorrow and how he is on Sunday."
If Jennings doesn't play, and it looks like he will probably sit out this week, Morgan Trent will take on the role as the team's third cornerback in passing situations. Trent played as the team's third cornerback throughout 2009 and in 2010 once Adam Jones when to the IR with a neck injury.
While we were looking forward to seeing Jennings on Sunday, Trent is capable of handling the job, especially against the Browns who don't have many superstar receivers.
