It's official: Peter King is pretending the Bengals don't exist.

In Peter King's Sports Illustrated (si.com) column "Weekend Pickoff" he picks the winners (and scores) for all of this upcoming weekend's games.

As we've already discovered, King elected not to grip his balls and simply admit to blowing it on his season-opening prediction on the Cincinnati Bengals, mentioning the surprising victory just once in his entire Monday Morning Quarterback column, really just throwing in a sentence about Gradkowski's pass to A.J. Green.

Well, in Weekend Pickoff, King one-upped his black-balling of the Bengals. When he got to the Denver-Cincinnati game, not only did he pick the Broncos to win 19-15, which by itself is perfectly reasonable, but he decided not to mention the 1-0 Bengals at all in the explanation:

Cincinnati Bengals (1-0) at Denver Broncos (0-1)
John Fox says he doesn't hear the cries for Tim Tebow. Okay. But one more bad performance from Kyle Orton and they won't be drowned out by anything. This fan base in a tinderbox right now. Orton's got to play well to make sure the fuse doesn't get lit.

I understand omitting details for the sake of brevity, but some of the games had a long paragraph detailing the matchup.

It's rather infuriating to put up with this garbage, but as we've noted, this team thrives off being ignored/picked to lose. But judging from this, I don't know if King will ever acknowledge the existence of a professional football team located in southern Ohio.
