Cleveland just gave Ahtyba Rubin a 3-year extension worth $8.8 million per year (!!!) with $18 million guaranteed.  What the what?!?  Holmgren has clearly had his Cheerios spiked on this deal...thank god I'm not a Browns fan.

Didn't we just have a lockout to deal with out-of-control salaries?  Seems like owners forget things very quickly.  Rubin is just entering his 4th year and although he had a solid year last year, that was in the 3-4 where a nose tackle is more valuable.  Makes me wonder when Phil Taylor's agent is going to demand a new contract.
