Cook, originally singed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent, has been the team's starting center since the 2009 season. He has played well for the Bengals as the team's starting center despite the fact the the team's offensive line is weakest between the tackles.

According to Pro Football Weekly, Cook's extension is for four years and is worth $14 million with $5 million guaranteed.
