rey and peko need to step up

Shut down frank gore and make Alex smith beat us. I don’t know what’s going on with this defense they just look bad, even with the bright spots like mj.

It's funny that you mention Peko and Rey

Peko has not been the same since he went down at the end of the 2009 season. Not coincidently the Bengals lost their last 4 out of 5 games that season and they couldn’t stop the run. Peko right now just looks like he’s taking up space and getting pushed back. If the interior line doesn’t at least neutralize the Gaurds and Center, Rey will have a hard time getting to the runner let alone wrapping him up. Peko looks out of shape and Rey looks slow/lost.

D looked good against the Browns........

but bad last week. Is only week 3, I expect a bounce back game for the D (especially D line) and constant pressure on Smith this week. It pains me to say, but I think our run D is noticeably weaker without Geathers. Rotating between he and Dunlap obviously does make a bigger difference than I thought it would.

turnovers

the D needs to generate turnovers.

Quarterback Alex Smith ranks second in the NFC with a 70.5 completion percentage

but they are one of the worst teams in yardage. He’s completing a dozen passes a game for 100 yards.

Their rush Def is leaing the NFL, but their pass Defense, and offense are atrocious.

Maybe the reason for low yardage offense

are special teams. SF is excelling in special teams. They doesn’t have an entire field to run or pass across. I never think I would say this so confident, but touchbacks can save bengals ass on sunday.

I also say D bounces back this week...

so naturally that means our O will not be as impressive. Dammit can’t both sides of the ball go all out at the same time for us?
