Injury/Practice Report: San Francisco 49ers (1-1) At Cincinnati Bengals (1-1)

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - SEPTEMBER 18: Alex Smith #11 of the San Francisco 49ers is sacked by Jay Ratliff #90 of the Dallas Cowboys at Candlestick Park on September 18, 2011 in San Francisco, California. (Photo by Jed Jacobsohn/Getty Images)

Even with all that's happened Wednesday night, swirling reports confirmed that will often take precedence and while we did post an injury update, we forgot to post the daily injury grid for both teams. There is a game to be played this weekend you know (and no, Jerome Simpson and Anthony Collins aren't listed because this is an injury report).

One of the more interesting notes is that 49ers quarterback Alex Smith suffered a concussion last week. Though according to the San Francisco 49ers report, Smith fully participated during Wednesday's practice and there isn't a hint of any changes to San Francisco's lineup at quarterback.

quick note on Simpson – no story on espn yet – to my supprise, top story on nfl but no really bad comments – to my supprise. question – maybe I’m still getting used to the new players because I don’t remember much about Whalen. Is he a suitable reciever for slot? anyone know about B.Edwards backup? I know nothing is set in stone about our recieving line-up I’m just curious should it be changed who our number 3 is, or some kind of mock line-up possibilities. Should we be looking to free agency over using who we have? Im not sure who is left there either.

i notice Dunlap and Whitworth aren't on this list

does that mean they’re fully healthy now?
