With the possible suspension of Benson, who would you sign?
Michael Bennett is 33 years old, posted his last and only 1000+ yard season in 2002.
LenDale White, only 26 years old, with his last 1000+ yard season in 2007.
Laurence Maroney, another 26 year old back, appeared to be a rising star in the NFL, until a couple of bad off the field decisions derailed his career.
Clinton Portis, at 30 years old, has the most mileage on his legs of these 5 backs. He's also the only one to be a NFL marque running back in his career.
Or stand pat with what we have in Scott, Leonard, and Peerman

have to go with portis
needs 70 yards to hit 10,000 for his career. suspect he would run hard for 3 games for the bengals.

yeah but what happens after he gets his 70 yards?
The guy was also apparently really out of shape. Combine that with being injury prone then I doubt he even gets that 70 yards.
theres a clear voting pattern here
people want scott, leonard, and peerman to pick up the slack if benson gets suspended.

One thing to remember is that it's for no more then three games.....
If it was for three, Id have to put my pick for larry just because he has been here before, but in all likely hood its one, maybe two but don’t see that. In that case there should be no one signed. Why do we have peerman then? someone please tell me. He doesn’t do anything on the roster as it is and he is a perfect guy to fill in. I am a big fan of his and will go as far as he could start next year if benson is not resigned again. Let him play in a game and see what he can do! isn’t that the philosophy the team has taken with everyone else on the team?
peerman?

whats the point of having peerman?
If were not going to use him? Either use him or cut him and use his spot for someone who can contribute more. Why carry 4 rbs and sign another when one goes down?

It would be Scott's turn wouldn't it?
Everyone is always asking “Why won’t Marvin play him more consistently”? If Benson is suspended, now would be a good time to see! And we have both Peerman and Pressley healthy.
Why bring in any old back that doesn’t know the system? From a blocking prespective wouldn’t that just put Dalton more at risk?
I represent the Bengals of Cincinati with extreme passion and prejudice and make no apologies for it!
