Today's game against San Fran was a good game if you like defense! They stoppped Gore and was in Alex Smith's face all day! They matched up better than I thought they would with our WR's so good noone was getting open and that's y Dalton threw his first 2 interceptions. Willis was all over Gresham all game! The catches he had were against the 9er's zone coverage! I know looking at the stats clearly shows who killed the Bengals and they are right! Verenon Davis was either open or in one on one coverage a majority of the game! They motioned him out as a WR against Nelson and all Alex Smith needed was 2 seconds to throw it up for him! I think if they had went in trying to stop Davis instead of Gore they wouldn't have scored. Like I said at the Beginning of the season our Run defense is the best part of our defense and besides a couple of plays the pass defense was good all day! They have to be consistant on Offense though! I seen today why Scott doesn't play as often as everyone would like his pass blocking is suspect. He did have a nice run of nine yards but besides that out of the 5 or 6 play he was a liability out there. AJ made some Rookie mistakes and had 2 false starts. None of the WR's could get any seperation... And the line I thought played well... One penalty on a Livings hold and Andre Smith gave up a sack basically getting bull rushed! Benson was solid! I think they got caught up with San Fran's ranking against the run! The O is just still a work in progress. After Gore fumbled the ball at like the 25 they needed to score a TD but they didn't and that was basically the game. Had they have scored 7 it would have put more pressure on the 9r's to fail. That's my thoughts...
