It's cut day. The Bengals have to get down to 53 men on their roster by 6 p.m. today and it appears that they have announced their first cut. According to The Cincinnati Enquirer's Joe Reedy, the Bengals have released seventh-round compensatory pick from Baylor, running back Jay Finley.

This will be the first of many announced cuts today and it leaves the Bengals with six running backs left on the roster -- Cedric Benson, Bernard Scott, Cedric Peerman, Brian Leonard, John Griffin and James Develin. The most the team will take into the season is likely four.
When we did our 53-man roster prediction, we thought that the four backs the Bengals would keep on the roster would be Benson, Scott, Leonard and Peerman.
