No longer is it Mike Brown who can influence the status quo nor is it Marvin Lewis!  These two individuals represent management.  But this new war calls for new tactics.   This new war will be waged by Field Generals, not management!

IN MY MIND - The new war belongs to Generals Gruden and Zimmer! They will be the Generals on the battlefield while MB / ML serve to provide more assets as needed and eat more medial scrutiny. .

To begin this campaign their recon teams have performed admirably proving timely intel  allowing congress to complete needed "asset" acquisitions.  The homework, the research, and the stats for player acquisition were exemplary and the message to management (MB/ML), "Go acquire these assets".

It is the ground game, "boots on the ground", the offensive grunts in the trenches who are now set to rumble in the Jungle.  Led by 6-year veteran Whitworth, the line consisting of Livings, Boling, Collins, Roland, Smith, and Hudson have shown "there will be a reckoning". They along with Benson and Scott will pound and pound the defensive lines and lay waste to opposing line backers.   The aerial assault led  Andy "Red Rifle" Dalton will unleash an overwhelming arsenal of receiver "smart bombs" to continuously probe the defense.  They will use heavy artillery in the likes of Gresham, Shipley, an Shuler, with Benson and Pressley out of the backfield to soften the defensive interior. And just when the defense adjusts, gut them like pigs in the slaughter house with "A" bombs (AJ Green, Brandon Tate, Caldwell)

To ward off the opposing threats of assault, Maualuga and his team of marauders (Dunlap, Farnene, Johnson, Domata, will attack with nothing less than "Malice and Mayhem" in their hearts.  Looking up and seeing Johnson, Lawson, Peko, or Adkins coming, even the most seasoned of QBs will feel like they are being "carpet-bombed" and develop "happy feet" or simply curl up in the fetal position hoping to survive.  If they just happen to get off a shot before being pounded  then Hall and his elite corps of assassins consisting of Clements, Jennings, Trent, Crocker, Sands, Mays, Miles, Nelson will be waiting in ambush like "thieves in the night" to relieve them of the pill.

 It is now D-DAY boys and girls!  It is now left to the training and the leadership provided by these two field generals (Gruden and Zimmer) to provide strategies for winning .  And based on the way they have prepared this team, this will be the year for the Bengals that the pundits can only dub as, "A Work of Art" for these coaches. 

Message to the team - Win by being quick, by being brutal!
