2012 NFL Free Agent Master List

http://rotoworld.com/articles/nfl/39667/59/nfl-free-agent-master-list

This year's list of free agents is quite impressive. Who are some of the guys you would like to see the Bengals make an attempt to sign?

Personally, I would like to see them go after a guy like Martellus Bennett who has a ton of athletic ability and is grossly under-utilized in Dallas. I think we could be a dangerous offense running a two TE system like the Patriots.

What do you guys think and why?

Here's my free agent wish list

1 – Guard – Nicks or Grubbs would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2 – #2 WR – Would love Colston. Meachum or Garcon would be nice, I was also thinking a darkhorse could be Reggie Wayne as I think he can still be productive for a few more years, played the #2 role when Marvin Harrison was @ Indy, and he seems pretty smart so he may be a very good mentor for AJ on the little nuances of the position (release points etc.).
3- CB – Cortland Finnegan or we could sign Carlos Rogers to like a two year deal kind of like we did with Nate Clements.

realisticly

I can see them going hard for a top guard. They went hard for Robert Gallery, and may feel more inclined to spend big money on better guards like Nicks. Then reciever Laurent Robinson may be a good pick up of he leaves, or Steve Smith from philly. Saftey I’d make a good push for Thomas Decoud.

Really want a big TE, a WR andS

John Carlson Seattle a really good player who fits the bill but has had injury issues.
WR Robert Meachum he gets underused at Saints so I don’t think we’ve seen the best of him. At S Dashon Goldson 49ers. At G there’s some really good talent over next two drafts I think we can get the players we need there hoping like crazy we draft Barrett Jones next year if he’d come out this year I’d pick him before DeCastro

Green-Ellis

I think he could be a steal in FA. NE has a few backs now and their starting to give rookie Ridley more touches than the others. You know he can pass block or they wouldn’t dare putting him in the backfield with Brady. He has good size, speed, and with all the passing they do he shore isn’t wore out.

yea for sure wouldnt mind him

Not sure how his hands are out of the back field though.

Give me a starting G and I'll be satisfied........

then we only have to draft one other and let them and Boling fight it out. I don’t like the fact we have two holes right now on each side of our interior line. We have to plug one with a vet who can start right away. Two rookies (or Boling, practically a rookie) starting together could be trouble. Improve the running game, protect Dalton………..win-win here!

Can someone provide information on our cap space...

A lot of people talk about how they want us to sign a top G, WR, etc… but is that realistic? How much cap space do we have now, how much would we be projected to have after resigning key guys, how much after draft picks, etc? We rarely seem to make a splash in the FA market (other than Antonio Bryant… oops), probably because a lot of players would choose a smaller contract on a better team, but after a successful year with a young upcoming team and decent/good head/assistant coaches, I can see some players interested in coming here.

The amount of liquor I drank last night would've killed a small-to-medium sized Asian family.

RE: Cap Space

I believe I read somewhere that the Bengals entered into the season 20+ million under the cap. Look at it this way: Had Carson Palmer returned, he would have received close to 11 million. That would have paid Carson like a top NFL QB. We didn’t spend that money this season, so yes – we could potentially pay one of the big name FA to come to Cincy just based on what we saved by not having to pay Carson Palmer.
