Del Rio Option Remains Open: Mike Nolan Hired As Defensive Coordinator For The Atlanta Falcons
If Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer leaves for one of two open head coaching positions in Miami or Tampa Bay, the Cincinnati Bengals will instantly be in a search for a replacement. Though this writer, yours truly, believes that the replacement would eventually be defensive backs coach Kevin Coyle, another favorite remains in former Jacksonville Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio.
However Del Rio has also been mentioned as favorite for the defensive coordinator position in Atlanta, likely due to his association with head coach Mike Smith on Baltimore's coaching staff (similar to the conjecture putting Del Rio as a favorite in Cincinnati).
According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, the Atlanta Falcons have hired Mike Nolan as their defensive coordinator on Tuesday.
None of this really matters until Mike Zimmer's future is eventually known. There is still a chance that the Bengals retain Zimmer the longer the process goes on.

What about Zimmer to New Orleans as DC
His son was their as LB coach a few years back, so they are most definately aware of his capablities…and with the new vacancy, this one could make sense even though its a lateral move
The Curse of Bo Jackson: Jan 13th,1991- present day
I dont think he would be interested
Anything but a HC,wouldnt be enough to leave the BENGALS
"A team is more than a group of individuals, its a group of individuals that come together to make a team"
Maybe Green Bay and N.E, Need Zimmer!?
Green Bay gave up on average 412 yards per game on Defense! Ranked last in the NFL.
Pats gave up 402 per game. Ranked just below the Packers @ 31.
Would not have the Bengals been off to the races if they would haven taken a chance on a Big Arm like Ryan Mallett? N.E. picked up Mallertt!
Even with Brady at QB!
Whats Up?!
Do the Bengals ever plan for the future or is the Bengals plan to simply stand around and throw their pearls to the swing?!
N.E. got it right.
Where did Brady come from? An Egg? No way! N.E. got it right.
I meant throw their Pearls To The Swine
Song of the day. This one is for Mike Brown. Be natural. Be Positive. Use your instincts. How in heck could you pass on Mallett! I get it Mike. We are in it together. We is the big word. With all respect. John. Go Bengals!!!!!!!! Best song ever was Yesterday by the Beatles. Now my favorite song is turning south fast. Why not be the Boss Mike and take your Guy? Who is in charge! Yesterday!
Nope, don't believe it

There had to be more to Mallet
Than just rumors for him to fall that far in the draft. He did look good in those preseason games. Dalton is our guy and I’m glad. Theirs alot more to a good QB than a big arm.
