Off Topic, but who would you vote for MVP?
Well what a regular season guys. Who would have thought that when it was all said and done this team would beat so much adversity and make it to the post-season? WHO-DEY!
Now on to the topic at hand. I'm just wondering if you guys had a vote who would you give your vote to for the regular season MVP in the NFL?
I was sure for weeks now that it would be Aaron Rodgers, but now I'm not so sure. I'm beginning to think that it has to be Drew Brees.
I'm not really a fan of Brees and I think the system he plays in drastically inflates his yardage numbers, but to break Marino's record, no, SMASH Marino's record and come within a sniff of Brady's TD record is amazing.
I think Matt Flynn showed us that while Rodgers is amazing, the Packers skill players are just matchup nightmares. I don't the Saints would have anywhere near that kind of success without Brees behind center.
Thoughts?

Frankly, I'm tired of seeing QB's constantly voted as the MVP
especially with the decline of running offenses, it appears QB’s will have a monopoly on the award without any more contention from RB’s. Why don’t we just call it the best QB award?
Here’s a suggestion: Peyton Manning. He’s clearly more valuable to the Colts than any other player in the NFL is to their teams. Tom Brady? Went 11-5 without him. Without Manning, the Colts go from perennial contender to worst team in the NFL.
Or how about Tebow? Turned around a 1-4 team into a playoff contender. For those who claim Denver’s success is hinged more on the defense, why were they so dismal prior to Tebow? Just a thought…. Not the best passer, but similar to Vick last year, provides an alternate offense that most defenses aren’t used to. Not the best, but possibly the most effective in terms of QB play.
Moisture is the essense of wetness, and wetness is the essense of beauty.
This is a pass-driven league, you won't see RBs up here unless Tebow wins it.

oh wow you actually suggested tebow
It’s because Tebow’s not the most valuable player on his team. That’s Von Miller. Tebow’s been good but Miller came into his own and everything started to click at that point. Tebow kept people on edge enough by trying to run the triple option offense. It worked, mostly because NFL defenses weren’t prepared for it. Then people figured it out and, well, you get results like Denver had: 8-8, barely making the playoffs, and probably won’t go far because they have virtually no offense if Tebow’s black magykks don’t kick in.

Ha ha true
Give it to Manning. He is clearly the most valuable player in the league.

Manning is pretty much the most valuable player to his team in the league.
Rodgers was good, even great no doubt, but Brees has also been just as fantastic. He just didn’t have the record.

Im with you Blue Steel, and here is my vote;
Jared Allen. The guy plays on a bad Vikings team, in one of the toughest Divisions, going up against Rodgers and Stafford and Cutler twice a season. And yet finished with 22 sacks. Amazing. I would like someone to tell me how Brees or Rodgers or Brady deserves it more then this unsung hero? Brady and Brees and Rodgers play for teams loaded with talent, and they get more then enough help to bloat their stats. Jared Allen has no one around him.

Honestly after seeing what Matt Flynn did yesterday
I’m not so sure that his numbers aren’t more of a result of the system he is in rather than his actual talent. I mean he is in the top tier of QBs but unless Flynn is just that good the system has to have a big part in his success.
AJ Green = Optimus Prime
Brady
To me it isnt even close
Rodger’s and Brees have the number’s,and team chemistry
Brady is the only true QB left, not afraid to call out a WR for not doing his job
And not only point him out,but send his ass to the bench,if he complains, then send his ass out of town
I cant tell you how valuable that is,anyone who ever witnessed the BS Carson put up with Chad and Marvin for that matter,Can understand what i am talking about.
I just dont see Rodger’s or Brees having that type of control,
My dream come true……………..Chad try to show up Brady on the football field
We all know that would never happen, because Chad knows his place, and isnt interested in getting put back in place,
My point being,Bring Rodger’s,Brees, and Brady in here to QB the Bengals
Rodger’s and Brees would be ate alive, saying we still have Marvin as HC
"A team is more than a group of individuals, its a group of individuals that come together to make a team"
Why don't they rename it the Brady cup and give it to him every year
Brees has been the best QB
but my pick is Darren Sproles most combined yards ever plus returns punts and kicks
LMAO
If there going to give it to Darren Sproles
They should just rename it,almost the most valuable player
"A team is more than a group of individuals, its a group of individuals that come together to make a team"
There is no chance anyone but Aaron Rodgers wins this
And no reason anyone else should. He led the league in every category that QBs are measured in in every conceivable way for the entire season, with only a couple exceptions. Brees ended up with more yards, but that’s it. No QB has ever been as close to perfect as Rodgers has been this year. A season QB rating of 122.5 is just ridiculous. It’s even better than Peyton’s best, and he’s earned his share of MVP awards. More than he’s won, even.
Ray Rice
As bad as I hate to say it I’d give it to him. That team runs through him and their losses showed it. That D is good as a unit that IMO you could replace one player at a time without much fall off but their offense is a different story. You could replace Flacco and it might even be an upgrade. Their WR and TE don’t set the world on fire, but you take out Rice and that team is watching the playoffs from home.
