+1
Mikey has been gaining points a=in my book. Whether it is him making the decisions or if he has given up some power, he deserves the credit where the credit is due. He recognized there were many many problems with the franchise and has started to address them (or whoever is now making the decisions has started to). Granted it will take more than a couple good decisions to give Mikey full marks but he is on the right track and trying to (finally) do right by his dad and deserves to be credited for it.
AJ Green = Optimus Prime
Got to be others making these decisions and him letting go......
otherwise this would have happened a long time ago (like every other cold weather team). Having said that, I’m in shock (if this is completely true of course) and excited. It’s nice to look forward to reading positive headlines, I could get used to this a little more.

Definitely
I think it has to be somebody else making the decisions or at least somebody convincing Mikey to make the right ones. It doesn’t matter in the end Mikey has given up some of his power for the betterment of the team and I very very glad he did.

Gotta think a lot of it is Marvin......
was one of the big roadblocks to him coming back and although he never came out and said it, things like this are suddenly happening. I know there are a lot of naysayers when it comes to Marvin out there, but I don’t think this happens without him being here.

Totally agree.
I can give both men props. Marvin for standing his ground, and it is obvious some of these changes are because of him, if not all of them. And Mike for allowing change. Some will never be happy with MB, and that is fine, but I have to give credit where credit is due, and I am not saying he has made all of these decisions, but we must remember, he has the FINAL say. So whatever is going on, don’t let it stop. For once in my 33 years, I feel like we can truly compete for years to come, and I feel like this is a place where players will WANT to come and play.
See my post below
With the new CBA, the business model for the franchise is completely different than it was. I think it’s just as likely that Brown was unwilling to invest heavily in the infrastructure of the club when the old CBA forced him to spend money elsewhere. Now that the new CBA is in effect, it’s possible that it freed up the budget to make these moves.
Or it’s possible he has finally heard the fans! :)

yeah
Reds got a new field to, it’s just the actual playing surfaces, county spending 3.5 for both and the reds aren’t paying a dime for theirs, def. a plus for brown that he’s atying up 70 percent
personally
I don’t want to see Marvin fired, I want him to be promoted to G.M. while handing the reigns over to Zimmer as head coach and hiring Jack Del Rio as Defensive Coordinator. Who Dey!!!

Was thinking the same thing.
The only reason they didn’t practice inside during playoff week was because it would have taken the players out of their normal routine for the first time all season. If one of the practice fields had been covered they definitely would have been inside. Make it happen.
Does anyone know if and when we are getting the HD screens
I thought they were battling over this a few months ago (between county and Mikey)?

Im not sure
But did he also get the gourmet chef to cook for our players, I mean they need to be able to order and eat what ever they want …….
jk
Do you know what a super man Ass Whooping is ?... Its the type of Ass Whooping you wish you could Fly away from !....
What Took So Long.
Is Mike a shaker or breaker? Is Mike now the giver? Signed Jimmy Buffet. Enjoy a drink and relax. Mike Brown is Back to the Velvet! Deal signed and a trip to the next level Iis looking better all the time. Great job GM! The Round Table has Balance! Mike Brown makes corrections. How can a resonable person not consider this fact! The Bengals were the game of sell. Now the Bengals are a game of just do it right! Did Mike Brown Fail ?! Or does Mike Brown consider that this game of football is a two way street? Dead End Brown is turning into the Guy who can turn the Bengals around! Who will care? Its too late! Who can praise a mind that is slow and weak?! What Took So Long?

Credit to Mike Brown
I’d like to see a FanPost from one of the Anti-Brown crowd giving articulate reasons for the ongoing hate. As much as I support the notion that this team hasn’t proved anything until it wins a playoff game, I’m hard pressed to think of anything on the fans’ wish list that Brown hasn’t actively tried to fulfill this season, except the scouting staff.
And don’t throw out the tired old “we need a GM” bit. That has only been a complaint because Mike hadn’t displayed any sort of real leadership, but that hasn’t been the case recently, so that argument is invalid.
Lastly, I wonder how the new CBA will affect Mikey’s approach to the game. He was one of the first to recognize the structural pitfalls in the old CBA, as it related to the escalation of player salaries, and I believe that caused much of his stubbornness toward player negotiation. Now that he got what he wanted in that department, and the upcoming enforcement of the cap floor, it will be interesting to see if his approach toward player selection and retention is more aggressive.

Maybe Mike Brown has got a little love from the Palmer trade and he wants more?
Maybe he is so stubborn that it took him 20 years to finally realize his way isn’t working. If he brought a championship to the city then all would be forgotten. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come.

Love to see these long needed improvements.
Now, time to fix the live experience of PBS. Improve the concessions, security, staff (a smile wouldn’t kill these people), better sound system, improve the graphics…things like that. They lowered the prices which was a great start, show off the place by fixing this stuff.
The post on Channel 12 out of Cincy
stated that a sound system was also in the works.
