Funny Musin' Of The Day: Justin Smith Handing Out Beers To His Old Bros
Practices have already begun Wednesday morning for the 2012 NFL Pro Bowl, which includes quarterback Andy Dalton, wide receiver A.J. Green, tight end Jermaine Gresham and defensive tackle Geno Atkins on the AFC Roster. Obviously all of you are going to tune-in to see some Bengals domination at the NFL's all-star game, which kicks off at 7:00 p.m. (EST) this Sunday on NBC.

During Geoff Hobson's summary of Cincinnati's Pro Bowlers arriving in Hawaii, one reference struck out at me that you guys might enjoy.
It is former Bengals defensive tackle Justin Smith arriving at the front desk with his luggage, a case of Bud Light, and his arms still freshly scraped from last Sunday’s overtime death struggle his 49ers lost to the Giants in the NFC title game, and handing out beers to old friends from Cincinnati.
"You guys had a great year," Smith says.
Yep. That's the Justin Smith we remember.

very cool
the end of that game sucked. Obviously, the dude shouldn’t have fumbled… but it seemed so anti-climactic after the tension of the entire rest of the game.
Would have liked to see Smith and Madoooo get the SB shot, too. (And Brooks, although he wasn’t a favorite as the other two were)
Go Reds!
(and gooooo krogering)
Justin Smith was always awesome
I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a DE that can bullrush the passer like he does and also make stops at the line of scrimmage from sideline to sideline like he does. Best combo run/pass DE?
thats what their saying
he just never had the same production that he has in San Fran than what he did in Cincy. The thing about Justin that I remember, he has a non stop motor but he tended to over pursue a lot and break contain. IMO

really?
on an otherwise-terrible defense he consistently led the team in sacks and always got around 50 tackles.
lol i guess i shouldn't use that word "production" loosely
I think his numbers looked good but he wasn’t as effective as he is in San Fran. Plus he had some contain issues here before he left in FA.
The niners defense is pretty scary. Until you put up stats and win. Your numbers don’t really hold weight.
Its like, if cam newton breaks all these scoring records but he consistently wins 6 or 7 games a year. His numbers wont mean much because he is just contributing to a losing cause.

When I read that on the mothership this morning, I had a good laugh.
That’s hilarious. I love how Justin had a case of beer with him as he was checking into the hotel.

3-4
It’s interesting that he was still on the roster when there was talk about switching to the 3-4, (David Pollock days) but Geoff Hobson and the like always said Smith was too small to play the DE in the 3-4, even though he was too slow to do much in our 4-3. Now he’s arguably the best 3-4 end in the game….

I didn’t see that coming.
