Philadelphia Eagles Sign Todd Bowles To Become Defensive Backs Coach

It remains unknown who (or when) the Cincinnati Bengals will hire to become their newest defensive backs coach after the departure of Kevin Coyle, who became the Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator late last week. One suggestion we brought up during the insane coaching updates was former Dolphins Intern Head Coach Todd Bowles. Unfortunately he's no longer an option.

Star-divide

According to NFL Network Insider Jason La Canfora, after turning down a job offer with the Oakland Raiders, Bowles has agreed to become the new defensive backs coach for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Also the Bengals are expected to hire a new linebackers coach after the team reportedly decided not to re-sign Jeff Fitzgerald. However contrary to report, Fitzgerald is still listed as the team's linebackers coach on the Mothership.

I'm right there with you.

No DB coach would have turned down that job. Those guys alone could make you a super star. If the D ends up being #1 against the pass then he will almost be assured of getting a head coaching gig. He did a really good job in Miami and I think the Dolphins were too quick to move on from him.

might check into what the vikes had to say about singletary's time in minny last season

they appeared to be extremely unhappy with singletary and his lack of professionalism. stuff like not showing up for LB meetings and repeatedly delegating his own duties to other assistants all season long.

We should've hired KG along time ago

He came in one year during training camp or OTA’s and helped out with the defense and we shouldn’t have let him leave.
