Win A Football Signed By Former Bengals Linebacker Dhani Jones
There's really no question that middle linebacker Dhani Jones was a Bengals fan favorite when he was in stripes from 2007 through 2010. He was a great leader, he almost always led the team in tackling, he had a great personality and he represented the team well, especially on his TV show "Dhani Tackles the Globe." I know that I wouldn't be the only Bengals fan that was sad to see him go after the 2010 season, but I also know that Dhani is destined to excel outside of football like he did on the field.
Thanks to the Courtyard by Marriott, you have a chance at winning a free football signed by Dhani Jones, and you don't need to do anything more than you usually do on this site.
Click the jump to learn more.
The Courtyard by Marriot, the Official Hotel Sponsor of the NFL, is going to be showcasing their refreshed lobby at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis for the Super Bowl. They will be the host of the NFL Experience, the NFL's interactive theme park, from Friday, January 27 through February 4.
From the Courtyard by Marriot's official release.
In addition to the survey results, Courtyard will be showcasing its refreshed lobby at the Indiana Convention Center during the NFL Experience, pro football's interactive theme park open to the public Friday, January 27 through Saturday, February 4. Courtyard is holding NFL player autograph signings with NFL stars including Cam Newton, Matthew Stafford, DeMarco Murray, Mark Ingram and more. Dhani Jones, former linebacker for the Cincinnati Bengals and host of Travel Channel's Dhani Tackles the Globe, will also be in attendance.
While meeting the NFL players, fans can relax in Courtyard's renovated lobby on-site at the NFL Experience complete with video walls, public seating areas, media pods with TVs and even the Courtyard GoBoard®. Fans will also have a chance to experience Courtyard's Greatness on the Road photo booth, where images of iconic football stadiums across the country will be dropped into a green screen for fans to create a virtual picture album of themselves in front of their favorite stadiums.
Compared to where the Super Bowl is usually hosted, Indianapolis is just a short drive from Cincinnati. If you go, you should stop by to meet the players and go through the NFL Experience and the Courtyard's renovated lobby.
When it comes to the Dhani Jones-signed football, all you have to do is leave a comment telling me why you want the football (of course Cincy Jungle staff are excluded). The contest will go from now until the 11 a.m. of the Super Bowl. Please only leave one comment per person. At 11 a.m. on Sunday morning, I'll enter all of the names of the people who commented into a system that will choose one at random. Once a name is chosen, I'll get some more information from that lucky winner and they'll get their autographed football.
Thanks to all of you who frequent the site and thanks to the Courtyard by Marriott for setting us up to give you guys something back for making our jobs easier.
Let the contest begin.

I want the football because this man made it cool to wear bowties. I’ve been wearing them the last few years, and have Dhani to thank for that haha

I want the football because
Dhani was an underrated MLB in Cincy, and his show is one of the few watchable ones on tv.

Pick Me!
I too was sad to see Dhani go. We’ve had our share of thugs and showboats and that guy was neither. Just solid. I’ll be giving the autographed ball to my 13 yo son and he will put it on the mantle right next to the Dave Rimington signed ball. That would be a nice combo.
DK
I'm with you, Jason
But it seemed everyone else on here couldn’t wait for Dhani to be cut. I wanted Rey to be great as well, but Dhani was just better.
Dhani 2010: 86 solo, 39 assist
Rey 2011: 53 solo, 35 assist
Why Do I Want It?
Because I want It.

Worth more than a Carson Palmer one.
He started signing it, but he quit before he was finished.

I am no more deserving than anyone else but I’m just an average guy and a loyal Bengals fan. Congrats to whoever wins. Who Dey.

dhani had his moments in cincy
would be cool to display it next to my 90s officially used in game bengals football
"the bengals are not a west of the 104 longitude team."
Pick me Cause you know you want to.
Dahni was a great upstanding character while he was with the Bengals, I would be ecstatic to own a football signed by him.
WHO DEY
I’ll sign up. I have Ken Anderson from when I was a kid and Justin Smith from when I took my kids to Georgetown. Might as well as well add another former Bengal to list
I was really glad when Dhani went to the Bengals.
He added to the defense and was a team leader when there wasn’t many on the team. Bow ties forever!
I would love to have it
Jones was a great player, citizen, abd role model. He will forever be a Bengal in my heart and I would be honored to have this ball. No matter what keep tackling them Dahani!

Because
Simply put, Dhani is the man. He exemplified all the traits you want from a football player on and off the field. Wish younger players would model themselves after him.
Please pick me
I think itd be really neat to have a football signed by such a gentleman that was a leader on the team and in Cincinnati. Good luck to you with whatever you do Mr. Jones. Thanks.
He called me a baboon, he thinks I'm his wife.
I admire the player. I like the show,
and I have a self imposed moratorium on purchasing new Bengals gear until they win a playoff game! But winning stuff is fine.
I would add it to my collection of autographed Bengals memorabilia
Since I don’t have anything yet it will be a nice start…lol
AJ Green = Optimus Prime
My dad loved the Bengals...
Just for dhani jones! I’ve been trying to find a replica bengals jersey of dhani but have found no luck

Dhani
He’s a great guy and I loved him as a Bengal.
At times, being a Bengals fan can be tough.
I have had to do it from Connecticut for the past 32 years (became a fan at 7 years old). Despite the razzing from all the Pats, Giants, and Jets fans, Dhani was someone we could always be proud of. He was a solid player and a great role model. I wish him this best! Go Bengals! WhoDey?!?

There is never ANY confusion about which team I am a fan of.. When I’m in a Bar and someone asks what team I am a fan of, I just rip open my shirt and say, “Any questions?”… Just look at that TAT in my Profile PIC – That’s permanent dude!
Being a Devout Bengal fan is the only way to be!
Peace!
I represent the Bengals of Cincinnati with extreme passion and prejudice and make no apologies for it!
Dhani should be the new linebacker's coach.

Hey!
I’ve been thinking the same thing.

It would make sense, he knows Zimmer's system for the most part, and he can probably coach pretty well.

This is better than bringing in a new linebacker's coach who doesn't know Zimmer's system.

I like his show "Dhani Tackles the Globe"
Think the Scotland one was my favorite. Dhanit tackles the Highland games.

Would definately love this
I know I don’t post much here but I’m addicted to this site. I’ve been trying to get something of his for awhile, never worked out though. It would be great to win. Thanks setting it up.
great story about Dhani. When he came to town, I saw him looking at his phone sitting next to another player, he looked up and told the other player “Did you know that Cincinnati has more entrepreneurs per capita than…” the other player looked up and said “entrepre-what?” Dhani didn’t even flinch just said “nevermind.”

Oh geez.
I would love to know who the other player was. Dhani was on a whole other level mentally than a lot of these guys. Great guy all around. Good leader, hard worker, good LB. Happy we had him for a little while. He is one of those guys that will succeed in whatever they do.
great to be around too, his first season here i saw him really frequently through work, I dont want to slam the other player, and i’m not 100 percent sure who it was anymore.
But I really wish Dhani was still around a guy like that is great for younger guys coming in to help get their mind around life in the nfl. I could write a whole thing about the young guys adjusting and “maturing” and I feel like Dhani really helped some of them with that. Some of the guys are just trying to figure life out and what they want, on top of being in the NFL.

I think I just need to post this comment for a chance to win
I don’t need to explain how I’m the greatest Bengal fan, how I want it for my dying poodle who never had the chance to watch the Bengals win the SB, how Dhani inspired my aunt to beat polio and live for 80 years or how Dhani once saved my brother from a burning building and my brother’s dream has always been to have a football signed by Dhani, his hero and life saver.
I would too
Dhani was always a pro here and set a great example.

Everyone is sucking up. I just want the football. I don’t care much for any autographs!

Pick me! Pick me!
I may be a craven little coward…..but I’m a GREEEEEDY craven little coward!
Okay, in all seriousness I always thought Dhani was an underrated LB who was like a defensive coach out on the field with the players, and he’s also an intelligent, well-spoken high character dude. Who wears groovy bow ties.
Hmm...
That would be fun to go, but I probably won’t.
On the other hand, I would rather like to have the football. Dhani had a great work ethic and was a great leader for the team. He was a bit outspoken on political issues, but I could respect him anyway because he walked the walk. He rode a bike to avoid adding to pollution. He did other things to help the environment. And even though global warming has now been disproved as a hoax, those efforts were still worthy and good things that he believed should be done (and I’ll even agree with him). Global warming may be false but the need to care for the environment does not go away, and a huge reason I despised the gorebeciles was that they risked discrediting a worthy cause with their lies. Dhani cared and lived his beliefs. Instead of calling out others and demanding they do it for him, he did it himself. He may have been deceived into believing a lie, but he lived it and set a good example for his beliefs, unlike hypocrites like Al Gore. That’s worthy of respect, whether you agree with him or not.
As a football player, he was invaluable. He came in when the position was a disaster and practically saved the team. He helped the young guys and provided sorely needed leadership. I wasn’t sure he had much left physically even at the end of 2009, much less in 2010, but his leadership was invaluable, and sometimes its worth keeping a guy around just for that. Indeed, I’d love to see him come back as the LB coach and kick (or even tackle, if need be) our guys into shape.
Oh and just for kicks, there’s a extra reason. I have absolutely no Bengals memorabilia. I really should change that sometime. This would be a good start.

Dhani was the model of what the Bengals should be about
Underdog, hard worker, no flash, classy. Come to think of it … opposite of Chad Ochocinco.

WHO-DEY & GO BLUE!
Being a Bengals fan in southwestern Ohio is pretty easy, but being a Michigan fan isn’t! Dhani made it easier.
I'll throw my hat in the ring
because autographed things are neat.

DHANI SUCKS
Why are we making a big deal over a signed football from him? I’d rather have a signed copy of the series Dhani Tackles the club lol. Ehhhh, maybe neither.
I respect the man.
Not because he played football, but because he is a class act.
Because...
…I’m in the only place colder than Cincinnati. Vermont and Dhani: Way too cool…
Dhani Jones Signed Football
I need that football! I’m a diehard Giants fan, but have loved Dhani ever since they drafted him! He pretty much was my first favorite player what whis his air ukulele! When he left for the Eagles I was terribly sad, but still cheered for him. Then in Cincy he got back on the horse, I would love this football. Also, the man’s a genius, between the Bowtie Cause and Dhani Tackles the Globe. Consummate professional!
Recently Moved Here
My wife and I recently moved to Cincy, and this would be the perfect beginning to our Bengal collection. Plus, Cincy is a classy place, and Dhani is a classy guy.
Enough brown nosing…. we want that football!!
I'd like it to put it next to my
Dhani Jones autographed shirt and build a Dhani Jones shrine in my man room :)
Dhani was my wife's favorite player
My wife was wearing a Dhani jersey at a downtown hotel before the game. One of the managers of the hotel was a personal friend of Dhani and his family. She took a picture of my wife and me and e-mailed it to Dhani’s mother.
DHANI
He was a great player and this would be a great addition to the rest of the memorabilia I own.
Why i would love to have the football
…because i live in Alabama (not one professional sporting team) and so all I hear is War Eagle and Roll Tide (I’m an Ohio State alumni) and no Who Deys!! If that’s not enough the cubical I sit in all day is ugly and a signed football by an amazing player (and restaurant/bar owner) like Dhani Jones would look amazing with my mini Bengals helmet, mini Buckeyes helmet, Archie and Les bobble heads, and Arroyo Chapman action figure :-)
Where's my Gorram football.
