Ryan is going to be headed into
the “Romo” zone, if they can’t get back into this. 0-3 in this media age might as well be 0-10.
Tony Gonzalez has never won a playoff game.
That’s damn near criminal. Wonder if he sticks around for a another season and goes ring chasing like most guys do.
At least the Bengals didn't put up the biggest stinker.
Atlanta was considered a SUPER BOWL contender at the start of the season. Putting up only 2 points in a playoff game is awful.
hahah
freaking giants, took half a season off and decided to show up for the playoffs. poor falcons.

will have to pull for the giants vs the packers
"the bengals are not a west of the 104 longitude team."
There's some irony in the fact that a team called the Giants might solidify their reputation as giant killers.
They’ll be playing the David to the Packers’ Goliath this year. Seems familiar, right?

there are rumors the giants are going to ask him to take a paycut in 2012
if that comes to pass and he balks at it, who knows. he could be a fa before next season. contract for next season currently looks like 2012: $4.4 million (+ $500,000 roster bonus due in March)

how many times the last decade? By yards: four times in the last ten years. By points: three times in the last ten years. Worst ranking: 9th (by yards).

CBS' love for Pittsburgh is really blatant.
Strange because shouldn’t Denver get them bigger ratings?
Announcers
It pisses me off how they always say “Steelers fans travel well.” THEY’RE EVERYWHERE! IT’S A BANDWAGON TEAM, FOOL!
Actually...
not entirely. Pittsburgh fans are legit around the country just like Cowboys fans. They were often televised in the old days before we had NFL Tickets and they were popular from that. Also, stats show that a great deal of Pittsburgh natives left the city (for obvious reasons) and thus have spread around the country more then most cities. Similar to Yankee fans. Bandwagon NFL fans tend to be Cowboys fans.

One thing I can say for Tebow is that he's always positive with his teammates.
when Thomas dropped a big pass in that game of theirs against the Bears, he was really upset with himself. Instead of being pissed like some QBs would, Tebow went over, put his arm around him and told him that it was okay and he would catch the game-winning pass. Thomas went on to make a great diving grab in overtime that put them in field goal range for the win.

Im probably not going to watch espn
for the next week.
Brady-Tebow?
Eli-Rodgers? All kinds of orgasms at ESPN.

New rules were huge.
If it was a regular OT…they turtle and go for a FG instead of the deep FU pass.
Your upset

I think my reaction throughout the thread indicates I wanted Broncos to win here.

Maybe i misunderstood all of Jesus cracks,
I just got in mid 3rd quarter
Or maybe you were pulling for Bronco’s with underlying hate torwards Tebow
"A team is more than a group of individuals, its a group of individuals that come together to make a team"
All of the jesus stuff
is largely a parody of the overblown connection to Tebow’s faith and his success on the field.

i cant wait for Fox to screw up overtime rules

That's because FOX has made some strange calls.
Also, it was to set up the McNabb joke.
by KSE on Jan 8, 2012 8:23 PM EST up reply actions
Uh, no.
That was an intermediate pass and the Steelers screwed up in coverage. Nothing to do with the new rules at all.

If they didn't have that rule...
I have no doubt they would have ran the ball up the field first.

sucks that the sickle cell trait decision had an impact on the game.
Was a pretty amazing play.
Merry Who-Dey, everybody!!
What did that have to do with anything?
Good teams play without major pieces every week. Stop making excuses for the Steelers.
"Next season will be better" circa 1990
shut up
I didn’t make excuses for anyone. I was hoping to not have to hear it and it sucks that something external to football had a significant impact.
But, you know, go ahead and hate on someone for being sympathetic.
Merry Who-Dey, everybody!!
17 & 21
With the Broncos win, it bumps Cincy up to 21 for their second draft pick.
I’d rather have David Wilson than Lamar Miller if we take a back.
That was awesome!
Good consolation for the loss yesterday.

Bengals fans should win a game
once every 22 years before they start taunting a annual contender for having a playoff loss.

Agreed, we can gloat here or in private
3 of the 4 teams I was rooting for won, so I am pretty happy. I didn’t expect the Bengals to win so the disappointment was measured. The joy at seeing the Steelers lose is unbridled.
Even moreso, don’t talk about it. It gives the other trolls excuse to do it when we do it too.
The rest of us pay the price ( having to deal w it ) for another’s douchebaggery.
Merry Who-Dey, everybody!!
you may not agree, but I think we have a fortunate no-douchebag situation
Although the occasional bandwagon interloper or hater interloper can be douchebags.

People at BTSC are getting banned like crazy.
Hard to blame the mods there. Fans of the Ravens, Browns and a few other teams are showing up just to agitate them.

Just go to the "rants n raves" section of the Pittsburgh Craiglist.
There’s always some ignorant, hateful shit on there after a Steelers loss.
Pretty entertaining.

the best is when people use “loose” instead of “lose”.
by Im_a_fun_haver on Jan 8, 2012 8:48 PM EST up reply actions
Why would anyone bother to visit that forum.
It is nothing but Steelers fans, I have nothing in common with them. Hope this lose drives LeBeau into retirement, gave up the most passing yards (even prior to OT) to one of the worst QB’s to play the game (as a passer).
so now
we draft 21 instead of 22 because Denver lost?
Watching Stanford Jennings kick return in the Super Bowl was the out of body experience of my sports life.
Denver won.
You might have been confused by the celebration. Bengals have 17 and 21. Broncos will draft 32nd now.

1. Pitt
2. NE
3. Baltimore

Dilfer was great,
He flat out said why Pittsburgh lost. Dilfer was the one of the very few guys who called Dalton and he’s one of the very few guys to cut through the BS.

Pittsburgh didn’t look prepared for the three headed Tebow attack.
by KSE on Jan 8, 2012 9:20 PM EST up reply actions
Yeah they really did get outplayed
Also, I think this is a case where the Steelers hyper-aggressive defense hurt them….option teams feed on the opponents being over-agressive and biting on fakes (like the winning TD).

2 years in a row a team without a winning record got a home playoff game and won…. not that I am complaining today.

Wonder if we will get any Monday night games next season or maybe even a Sunday night game.
"Next season will be better" circa 1990
Most assuredly they will.
Oakland, Denver, Dallas, PIT, Baltimore, Giants all home games no less. I’ll say one SNF and 2 MNF. What the hell, I’ll say a Thursday Night game as well.

What would be really cool?
Bengals/Raiders on XMAS Eve for MNF. The thought of Carson having to spend Christmas eve in Cincinnati again makes me chuckle. I doubt ESPN would risk a Oakland/CIN game that late. All potential primetime games for Bengals likely happen after week 10 (flex schedule for NBC) or early in the season. ESPN got burned by small markets this year. No more Jacksonville games.
Not only that
but told him to start work right away. How many people leave a 2-14 team and jump onto a potential SB Winner in a week?
Actually a Browns fan
couldn’t think of anything else to say bad about them and posted that pic…..lol
