The Cincinnati Bengals, down two running backs heading into Sunday Night Football against Pittsburgh, are looking outside for a little help.
With Brian Leonard appearing "questionable" to play this weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Bernard Scott already on Injured Reserve, the Bengals are expected to test the market and invite players to Paul Brown Stadium for a look -- at the very least to provide bodies in case another injury surfaces this weekend.
According to Joe Reedy with the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Bengals invited running back John Clay for a tryout Monday afternoon. Clay, who entered the NFL draft in 2011 as a junior, signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent, where he stayed throughout the year on the team's practice squad and eventually the 53-man roster late in the season. The Steelers released Clay with an injury settlement on August 20.
