We're at it again, giving away two tickets to the next Cincinnati Bengals home game.
TRIVIA CLOSED: WE HAVE A WINNER
We were annoyed the last puzzle was solved so quickly. That's google for you. The first puzzle was a one out of ten. This one is an eight out of ten. Good luck. A quick recap on how this works.
You will be presented with a set of clues. Each clue is a mini-trivia in of itself that will greatly assist you on your endeavor for the correct answer. When you get all of the clues answered correctly, then you will have what you need to answer the trivia correctly.
Once you know the answer, submit it firstname.lastname@example.org. First correct answer that we receive, wins (and no, I'm not responding to every submission, so if you don't hear from me within an hour, assume your answer is incorrect).
The winner will win two free tickets to the next Cincinnati Bengals home game, hosting the Denver Broncos on November 4, 2012.
Everything you need to solve the puzzle is here. Pay close attention to the hints. And remember, this is a Bengals puzzle. So everything will be about the Bengals and their glory days. Or the Cleveland Browns misery. That's always good too.
Clue #1 - Something is missing (and it's not what's missing, it's who went there)
San Diego St.
Clue #2 - same rule as Clue #1
Clue #3 - Did you figure out Clues #1 & #2? The answers to Clues #1 & #2 make up two-thirds of 1984. The answer to Clue #3 will be who belongs in that group.
Clue #4 -
____, Yellow, Green (An everyday pattern, top to bottom)
___ Keys on a Piano
You need to tell me the player from Clue #3. Then the player that's synonymous with Clue #4.(His position will be consistent with Clues #1-3) Then tell me what the player in Clue #3 has in common with the player in Clue #4. And be specific, sports fan, something more than just football (but still sports).
