It's that time of year again.
Seven games into the 2012 NFL regular season, the 2013 NFL Pro Bowl vote is on. Though not as ridiculous as having an All-Star game midway through the season -- because the second half is completely not important -- the Pro Bowl has been on the proverbial chopping block recently due to the underwhelming (read: shockingly not entertaining) performances. Even some suspected that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell would cancel the game this season, until we realized that it makes money and the league owners LOVE money.
Fans can vote for their All Star selections (aka, players on their favorite team) at NFL.com/Probowl. Voting concludes on Monday, December 17 following Monday Night Football between the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans. All-Star teams will be announced during NFL Network's Total Access at 7 PM on December 26. The NFL is the only sports league that combines voting by fans, coaches and players to determine its all-star teams. It was the first professional sports league to offer online all-star voting in 1995.
The Bengals sent four players to the Pro Bowl last year through the voting process and as an alternate: Quarterback Andy Dalton, wide receiver A.J. Green, defensive tackle Geno Atkins and tight end Jermaine Gresham.
