Leon Hall, Nate Clements, Carlos Dunlap And Bernard Scott Listed As Probable

File this under relieved.

Save for Jason Allen and Dre Kirkpatrick listed as doubtful, every other Bengals player listed on the injury report this week following Friday's practice, are listed as probable heading into a sold out Paul Brown Stadium to host the Miami Dolphins.

That includes Leon Hall (hamstring), who has missed two straight and Nate Clements (calf), out last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Running back Bernard Scott (ankle) also appears available this weekend against the Miami Dolphins.

Carlos Dunlap, who showed on Wednesday's injury report as limited with a groin, is listed as probable following full participation during Friday's session.

CB Jason Allen And Dre Kirkpatrick Listed As Doubtful

After missing every practice this week, including Friday's session, it was somewhat predictable that cornerback Jason Allen would be listed as doubtful. That being said it's rare, though not entirely impossible, that players listed as doubtful actually play. Yet we're comfortable saying he won't play this weekend.

Heading into the fifth week of the year, Allen has participated during three defensive snaps, all against the Washington Redskins.

On the other hand this is the first weekend that Kirkpatrick has been listed as doubtful during a Friday afternoon injury report, rather than "out", as is usually case by Wednesday's report. He was limited all week, which in of itself is a mini-victory and another step closer to being ready following the team's October 28 bye week.

Bengals Linebacker Vontaze Burfict Had Limited Participation At Thursday's Practice

One late afternoon update from the Bengals' practice on Thursday was that rookie linebacker Vontaze Burfict was limited. He was a full go on Wednesday, making his appearance today a puzzling surprise. It appears that he may have tweaked his hamstring recently.

Burfict had an outstanding game against the Jaguars, which earned him a nomination for The Pepsi Max NFL Rookie of the Week Award. Though he is part of a rotation, he has stepped in admirably for the injured Thomas Howard. Last week was the first time that we saw the defense resemble itself from 2011. We'll post more on this as we learn more.

Dan Skuta Returns To Practice While Jason Hill Works On The Side

Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Dan Skuta, who sat during Wednesday's practice with what was described as a "back", returned to practice on Thursday.

Jason Allen is reportedly the only player not practicing, though he's working out on the side.

After a full week of practices leading up to the game against the Washington Redskins, Allen missed two practices last week with a thigh and eventually the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Now Allen has missed two practices this week with a quadricep.

Leon Hall Confident He'll Play Against The Miami Dolphins

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Leon Hall told reporters before Thursday's practice that he believes he'll be ready to play against the Miami Dolphins this weekend, even described as confident.

Before Wednesday's practice, where he was limited with a hamstring, Hall had missed five straight practices and missed the team's most recent games against the Washington Redskins and Jacksonville Jaguars.

What's The Impact Of Andrew Whitworth's Injured Knee?

For the second time in as many weeks, Bengals starting left tackle Andrew Whitworth showed up on the injury report with a knee. Heading into the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, he sat during Wednesday's practice, was limited on Thursday and practiced in full on Friday. Whitworth, listed as probable at the time, ended up playing during Cincinnati's 27-10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

However according to the grades produced by Pro Football Focus, Whitworth's performance was arguably his worst this year, scoring a season-low -2.4 during rush blocking. It was his first negative score of the season.

Additionally according the NFL Game Statistics and Information System, whenever the Cincinnati Bengals run to the left, behind Whitworth and to his outside, the Bengals rushing offense is averaging 1.7 yards per rush for the season.

Whitworth showed up on Wednesday's injury report with a knee, but instead of sitting like last week, he was limited.

Bengals Running Back Bernard Scott Returns To Practice On Wednesday

Bengals running back has had a frustrating two months. After injuring his hand in the preseason which caused him to miss six weeks (four in the preseason and two in the regular season), he returned for the team's third game against the Redskins. He injured an ankle in that game after only two carries that netted minus-five yards and was out the next week against the Jaguars.

It didn't look good at the beginning of the week when Scott sat out of practice, but according to multiple reports, he returned on Wednesday. It's unclear whether or not he will play on Sunday, but if he's healthy, the team will likely activate four running backs to game day roster.

Kirkpatrick Working With Scout Team And Doing Position Drills

For the first time since late August, Cincinnati's cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick is practicing. Early during Wednesday's session the first-round pick worked with the scout team as well as position drills with the secondary.

However it still appears likely that the earlier Kirkpatrick will play is following the October 28 bye week.
